Abstract:
Objective To explore holistic nursing on the pulmonary ventilation function and psychological status of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)and to ac-cumulate experience for the clinical nursing.Methods 96 patients with COPD were equally divid-ed into research group and control group by random number table method.The control group was provided routine nursing while the research group was conducted holistic nursing.The data of questionnaire of SDS,SAS and lung function test in the two groups were recorded and compared before and after fourth weeks of intervention.Results The difference was not statistically signifi-cant in pulmonary ventilation function before intervention in the two groups(P >0.05).Values of FEVl% and FEVl,FEVl /FVC values,scores of SAS and SDS were lower in research group than that in the control group.It revealed that the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The difference was not statistically difference in scores of SAS and SDS in the two groups before in-tervention(P >0.05).Conclusion Holistic nursing intervention can not only improve pulmonary function of patients with COPD but also reduce their anxiety and depression.So it is worthy of be-ing promoted in clinic.
