Abstract:
Objective To explore the safety of percutaneous radial artery puncture without heparin in elderly patients. Methods There were 98 senile patients aged 80 and above which were divided into senile group without heparin with 50 patients and heparin senile group with 48 patients as well as 142 younger patients aged below 80 as younger group without heparin. Hematoma in the puncture mouth, bleeding of operation, thrombosis and time of binding were compared. Results The difference was significant since bleeding of operation, hematoma in the puncture mouth and time of binding in senile group without heparin were superior to that in senile group with heparin(P <0.05).However,there was no significant difference observed in younger group without heparin.Thrombosis and Allen′s trail in the senile group without heparin were infe-rior to that in the in younger group without heparin. Conclusion It is safety by percutaneous radial artery puncture for coronary angiography (CAG)without heparin in elderly patients.
