Abstract:
Objective To explore scientific, effective and noninvasive method for blood pressure measuring to protect limb skin in perioperative period. Methods Situation of 57 patients without blood pressure cuff protector (BPCP)was analyzed.50 patients without other basic dis-eases under 15 years old in ophthalmological operation with general anesthesia were randomly se-lected as object of study.Blood pressure was measured before and after anesthesia without BPCP, and measured with BPCP.The mean value was calculated by the values of the two measurements. Meanwhile, blood pressure with BPCP was set as the experimental group and the mean value of blood pressure without BPCP was set as the control group. The two groups were compared.Re-sults Skin red marks appeared in 23 patients in the control group,in which there were 2 patients with skin purpura. There were no kin red marks or purpura in the experimental group. The differ-ence was not statistical significant in patients with or without BPCP(P >0.05).Conclusion Proper use of BPCP can effectively protect the integrity of limb skin in perioperative period and it doesn’t affect the blood pressure measurement. So it’s worthy of clinical application.
