Abstract:
Objective To investigate the influence of nursing interventions on rehabilitation compliance in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods Fifty elderly patients with COPD treated in our hospital from June 2011 to December 2012 were selected as study objects and randomly divided into control group given routine nursing and observation group added with nursing intervention,25 cases for each.Recurren tates, excellent and effective rates of lung function and rehabilitation compliances between two groups were compared 6 months after discharge .Results The recurrent rate and excellent and effective rate of lung function were 0 and 84.00%(21 /25)in observation group and were 24.00%(6 /25)and 52.00%(13 /25)in control group respectively, and the differences were both significant (P <0.05),whereas the rehabilitation compliance was evidently higher in observation than in control group (P <0.05 or P <0.01).Con-clusion Nursing intervention can effectively improve the rehabilitation compliance and lung func-tion and reduce recurrent rate in COPD patients.
