Abstract:
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of rabeprazole and omeprazole (OME)in the treatment of reflux esophagitis (RE).Methods A total of 146 patients with RE were randomly divided into group A treated with rabeprazole and group B with OME,on the basis of same-dosage cisapride.Clinical efficacy and adverse responses between two groups were com-pared after 8-week treatment. Results Group A was evidently better than group B in recovery rate under endoscope after 4-week treatment and reflux times and duration of PH<4 after 24-h treat-ment (P <0.05),but there were no significant differences between above indexes after 8-week treatment (P >0.05).And symptom score reduced markedly after medicine treatment than treat-ment before (P <0.01),but there was no significant difference between two groups after 8-week treatment (P >0.05).Conclusion Rabeprazole and OME both have certain efficacy in treating RE with high safety, but rabeprazole has more advantages in rapid onset and stable efficacy.
