Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of continuous nursing based on WeChat platform in patients with colostomy.
Methods A total of 160 discharged patients with colostomy were randomly divided into two groups by random number table method. The control group (80 cases) received continuous nursing based on telephone follow-up and home visit, and the study group (80 cases) received continuous nursing based on WeChat platform. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared.
Results After intervention, the self-care ability and quality of life of the study group were higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05); the awareness rate of health knowledge in the study group was higher than that in the control group (97.50% vs. 87.50%, P < 0.05); the incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group (7.50% vs. 18.75%, (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Continuous nursing based on WeChat platform for colostomy patients can improve self-care ability, health knowledge awareness rate, prevent complications related to colostomy, and improve quality of life.
