Abstract:
Objective To investigate the expression of lysosomal associated membrane protein 2a(LAMP2a)in tissue of esophageal cancer and its clinical significance.
Methods The expressions of LAMP2a in 58 specimens of esophageal cancer and 30 specimens of normal esophageal tissues were detected by immunohistochemical methods, and its correlation with clinicopathological features was analyzed.
Results The expression of LAMP2a was significantly higher in esophageal cancer tissues, which was closely correlated to tumor clinical staging(
P<0.001), T staging(
P=0.043)and differentiation degree(
P=0.018), but no correlation with gender(
P=0.740), age(
P=0.590)and lymph node metastasis(
P=0.188); the expression of LAMP2a was negatively correlated with the prognosis of patients(
P<0.05). Cox proportional hazard model showed that depth of invasion and expression of LAMP2a protein were independent risk factors for esophageal cancer(
P<0.05).
Conclusion The expression of LAMP2a can be used as an effective indicator in early diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of tumors.
