Abstract:
Objective To analyze the significance of evidence-based foresighted nursing in preventing catheter associated urinary tract infection(CAUTI).
Methods A total of 800 inpatients with urinary catheterization or indwelling catheter in our hospital were recruited and divided into two groups, with 400 patients in each group. Patients in control group were given routine care, while the observation group applied evidence-based foresighted nursing on basis of routine nursing. The incidence of infection related to urinary tube and satisfaction degree were compared.
Results The incidence of infection related to urinary tube of the observation group was lower, and the satisfaction degree was higher than that of the control group(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Application of evidence-based foresighted nursing can greatly reduce the risk of catheter associated urinary tract infection, and improve patients' satisfaction degree.
