Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect of Chinese herbal medicine for patients with acute ischemic stroke.
Methods A total of 108 patients were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 54 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment, and the observation group was treated with iontophoresis of Chinese herbal medicine on the basis of the control group. Two weeks later, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score, Modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score, Modified Barthel Index(MBI)score, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score and effective rate were compared in the two groups.
Results After treatment, NIHSS score and TCM syndrome score in both groups significantly decreased, and traditional Chinese medicine symptom score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, mRS score in the observation group decreased, MBI scores in both groups increased, and the effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, significant differences were found(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Iontophoresis of Chinese herbal medicine can promote the recovery of nervous system function in patients with acute ischemic stroke.
