Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect of modified Dihuang Potion combined with “Xingnao Kaiyin” acupuncture therapy in treatment of patients with non-fluent aphasia in the recovery period of stroke.
Methods A total of 129 patients with non-fluent aphasia in the recovery period of stroke were randomly divided into two groups. Control group(
n=64)was treated with speech training and low frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS), while observation group(
n=65)was treated with modified Dihuang Potion and “Xingnao Kaiyin” acupuncture therapy. The therapeutic effect, language function, language expression ability and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.
Results The therapeutic effect of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(
P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of items of standard Chinese Rehabilitation Research Center Aphasia Examination(CRRCAE)and total score in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(
P<0.05). After treatment, the score of Chinese Functional Communication Profile(CFCP)in the observation group was(200.14±10.26)points, which was significantly higher than(160.24±15.37)points in the control group(
P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 3.57%, which showed no significant difference when compared to 1.56% in the control group(
P>0.05).
Conclusion Modified Dihuang Potion combined with "Xingnao Kaiyin" acupuncture therapy is effective and safe in treatment of patients with non-fluent aphasia in the recovery period of stroke, which can improve the patients'language function and enhance the ability of language expression.
