Abstract:
Objective To observe the efficacy of benazepril plus amlodipine in elderly hypertensive patients.
Methods A total of 150 elderly hypertensive patients were randomly divided into treatment group(
n=75)and control group(
n=75). The blood pressure before and after treatment of the two groups were compared.
Results After treatment, the 24-hour average blood pressure, lowest value of night sleep blood pressure and morning blood pressure in the treatment group were significantly lower when compared with the control group(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Benazepril combined with amlodipine in elderly hypertensive patients can play a synergistic effect, maintain the stability of blood pressure, and reduce the damage to target organs.
