Abstract:
Objective To explore the efficacy of ironing therapy with external application of traditional Chinese medicine in treatment of patients with postprandial discomfort functional dyspepsia(FD).
Methods Totally 100 patients with postprandial discomfort FD were selected and randomly divided into control group 1(
n=33), control group 2(
n=33)and observation group(
n=34). The control group 1 was treated by ironing therapy with external application of traditional Chinese medicine, the control group 2 orally administrated traditional Chinese drugs, and the observation group was treated with combined therapy of the control groups 1 and 2. The clinical efficacy and scores of TCM symptoms were compared among the three groups.
Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.06%, which was significantly higher than 78.79% of the control group 1 and 81.82% of the control group 2(
P<0.05). After treatment, the score of traditipnal chinese medicine symptoms in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control groups 1 and 2(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Ironing therapy with external application of traditional Chinese medicine combined with orally taken of tradition Chinese drugs is effective in treatment of FD patients with postprandial discomfort, which can effectively improve the various clinical symptoms of patients.
