Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of continuous quality improvement of the pharmacy department on the management quality and safe use of high-risk drugs.
Methods The daily management conditions of high-risk drugs in pharmacy department of our hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed, drugs with routine management from January to December 2018 were selected as routine management group, and those with continuous quality improvement from January to December 2019 were selected as continuous quality improvement group. The management quality, safe use of high-risk drugs and the occurrence of adverse events were compared between routine management period and continuous quality improvement period.
Results The incidence of irregular behaviors in the continuous quality improvement group was lower than that in the conventional management group, and the difference was statistically significant(
P<0.05); the knowledge score of the high-risk drugs in the continuous quality improvement group was higher than that in the conventional management group, the difference was statistically significant [(95.14±3.52)versus(74.11±4.87),
P<0.01); the total incidence of adverse events in the continuous quality improvement group was lower than that in the conventional management group, and the difference was statistically significant(
P<0.05).
Conclusion The continuous quality improvement of the pharmacy department can strengthen the management system of high-risk drugs, effectively improve the management quality of high-risk drugs, enhance the medical staff's awareness of the safe use of high-risk drugs, improve the ability of safe medication, and reduce the adverse events.
