Abstract:
Herpes zoster is caused by reactivation of varicella zoster virus latent in the cranial ganglion or posterior root ganglion of the spinal cord. It tends to occur in the elderly and hypo-immunity people. With the aging of the global population, the changes of herpes zoster epidemiology deserve academic attention. This paper reviewed the epidemiological characteristics, complications, risk factors, treatment and preventive measures of herpes zoster at home and abroad in recent years, so as to provide reference for the prevention and treatment of herpes zoster.
