Abstract:
Objective To investigate the correlations between blood pressure dynamic indexes and salt intake in patients with H-type hypertension.
Methods A total of 406 patients with H-type hypertension diagnosed from March 2018 to December 2020 were selected. The salt threshold of the patients was measured with different concentrations of normal saline and verified by urine sodium detection. Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring was used to observe the changes of blood pressure dynamic indexes. Spearman correlation test was used to analyze the correlations between blood pressure dynamic indexes and salt intake.
Results The taste distribution of H-type hypertension patients with different salt threshold showed significant difference (P < 0.05). The correlation coefficients of mean systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and salt threshold in patients with H-type hypertension were 0.334 and 0.278, respectively; the correlation coefficients of mean systolic blood pressure and mean diastolic blood pressure with salt threshold were 0.134 and 0.079, respectively; the correlation coefficient between circadian rhythm of blood pressure and salt threshold of patients was 0.087.
Conclusion There is a certain degree of correlation between blood pressure dynamic indexes and salt intake in patients with H-type hypertension, and salt intake has a positive effect on blood pressure dynamic indexes.
