Abstract:
Postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction (POGD) can seriously affect the prognosis of patients, and the safe and effective improvement of gastrointestinal function can promote the rapid postoperative recovery in patients. Stellate ganglion block (SGB) can inhibit sympathetic nerve activity, regulate autonomic nervous system function, improve gastrointestinal blood supply, reduce the use of opioid drugs, regulate gastrointestinal hormone secretion, and promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function. This paper summarized the previous studies and effects of SGB on improving POGD and discussed the mechanism of SGB on improving POGD, thereby providing evidence for the prevention and treatment of POGD.
