Objective To establish and clinical verify the practice norms of home hospice care patrol nursing in patients with advanced tumor.

Methods A total of 15 eligible patients with advanced cancer were included in the study, and the practice standard of home hospice nursing patrol service was implemented. Service standard, service process and nursing standard were verified. The acceptance rate of charge standards and 90-item Symptom Scale score, sleep quality score and psychological distress score before and after care were compared.

Results The average service cycle of patients was 38 to 113 days, with an average of (72.13±22.78) days, the number of total patrol nursing was 14 to 25 times, with an average of (18.33±3.60) days; the number of patrol nursing per week was 1 time to 4 times, with an average of (1.86±0.74) times. After two rounds of nursing, the scores of 90 symptom list, sleep quality and psychological distress were significantly improved (P < 0.05). The acceptance rate of all kinds of nursing and care services reached 100%, and the satisfaction rate and basic satisfaction rate of patients and their families were 100%.

Conclusion The establishment of practice norms of home hospice care patrol nursing has strong practicability and operability, which can ensure service quality, improve work efficiency, patients' life quality, fee acceptance rate of nursing and care and satisfaction rate of patients and their families. Therefore, it plays an important role in promoting the standardization and normalization of home hospice nursing service.
