Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect of "Heshang Power" fumigation and washing combined with Liu′s "three finger massage" technique in prevention of deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs after hip fracture operation.
Methods A total of 116 patients with hip fracture who met the inclusion criteria were selected as study subjects, and were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The patients in the control group were given routine nursing after operation, while those in the observation group were given "Heshang Power" fumigation and washing combined with Liu′s "three finger massage" technique on the basis of routine nursing in the control group. The patients in both groups were nursing for 10 days. Coagulation indexes and the incidence of deep venous thrombosis were compared between the two groups.
Results The levels of D-dimer and fibrinogen in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the activated thromboplastin time and prothrombin time were longer than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis in the observation group (1.72%) and the control group (13.79%) showed a significant difference(P < 0.05).
Conclusion For the postoperative hip fracture patients, "Heshang Power" fumigation and washing combined with Liu′s "three finger massage" technique can effectively reduce the occurrence of deep venous thrombosis.
