Abstract:
The distribution and pattern of desmin and vimentin were observed in cultured cardiacmyocytes of embryonic axolotl with congenital defect of myocardial development by means of cell cultureand immunocyto-chemical methods. After 3 or 6 days in culture, desmin and vimentin were in the formof line-like, their distributions were uneven in the cultured cells- In some areas of the cells desmin andvimentin exhibited amorphous collections. As a control group, the normal cardiac myocytes showed thatdesmin or vimentin was in the form of line-like, its distribution was even in the cells. The results suggest'that the distribution and pattern 0f desmin and vimentin in the cardiac myocytes are associated with the location and organization of myocardial develoing.
