Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between carotid atherosclerosis and serum uric acid (SUA),high-sensitivity c-reactive protein (hs-CRP)and lipoprotein (LP)(a)in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI).Methods According to the carotid atherosclerosis degrees de-tected by color doppler ultrasound (CDU),64 patients with ACI were divided into groups A,group B and group C.The changes of SUA,hs-CRP and LP(a)concentrations were respectively detected and analyzed in all the groups. Results With the increasing of intima-media thickness, the levels of SUA,hs-CRP and LP(a)went up,and there were significant differences among the three groups. In group B and group C,SUA was positively associated with hs-CRP and LP(a),and hs-CRP was positively associated with LP(a).Conclusion The levels of SUA,hs-CRP and LP(a)are positive-ly associated with carotid atherosclerosis degrees in patients with ACI,and their mutual action par-ticipates in the formation and progression of atherosclerosis.
