Abstract
Objective To observe the impact of hospice and nursing on advanced ovarian cancer patients combined with malignant ascites.Methods 248 patients with advanced ovarian cancer combined with malignant ascites,who were treated by abdominal puncture infusion chemotherapy and radiofrequency hyperthermia therapy,were given hospice and nursing.Social function,emotional function and role function were evaluated by Quality of Life Assessment form (QLQ-C 30)before and after treatment and the psychological status of patients was evaluated be-fore and after treatment by Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS).Results After hospice and nursing,socity function,emotional function and role function scores of patients were higher than that before the treatment.SAS and SDS scores were better than that before treatment(P <0.05).Conclusion Hospice and nursing can improve quality of life of patients with advanced ovarian cancer combined with malignant ascites and reduce anxiety and de-pression,so it is worthy of promotion.
