Effect of deep femoral artery reconstruction on treatment of lower limb ischemia of patients with lower extremity arterial occlusive disease

  • Objective To explore the clinical effect of the deep femoral artery reconstruction on the treatment of the lower limb ischemia of the patients with lower extremity arterial occlusive disease (LEAOD).Methods 45 LEAOD patients with FontaineⅢ or Ⅳ phase were treated with the deep femoral artery reconstruction operation, and the therapeutic effect was observed. Results Clinical effective rate was 95.6%.More than 70% of the patients with ulcer and gangrene had wound healing in 5 weeks and the patency rate of the patients in the follow-up days exceeded 90%.The ankle brachial index and intermittent claudication distance of the patients at half a year after the treatment were significantly higher than those before the treatment (P <0.05).Conclu-sion The curative efficacy of the deep femoral artery reconstruction operation in the treatment of lower limb ischemia of the LEAOD patients in Fontaine Ⅲ or Ⅳ phase is significant. The treatment can improve the typical clinical symptoms significantly, reduce the risk of complications, and obtain a higher long-term patency rate.
