Abstract
ABSTRACT:Objective To investigate the effect of the sputum suction in aspiration pneumo-nia patients by nursing strategies of lateral rotation posture (LRP).Methods 30 aspiration pneu-monia patients with respiratory failure underwent mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group was conducted sputum suction in conven-tional lateral position while the observation group was taken nursing strategies of LRP on the basis of conventional sputum suction. The changes of the arterial oxygen p(O2)and the chest X-rays in-flammatory patchy on the 1st day and the 4th day were compared and the results were statistically analyzed. Results Compared with the control group, the improvement of the p(O2)before and af-ter sputum suction in the observation group was significant difference (P <0.01);Absorption of chest X-rays inflammatory patchy happened in 13 patients(86.67%)in the observation group and 6 cases (40.00%)in the control group on the 4th day,the results revealed that the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01).Conclusion In the condition of mucus deposition of aspiration pneumonia patients underwent mechanical ventilation, the effect of the sputum suction with LRP nursing strategies is significantly better than the conventional position nursing strategies.
