Abstract
Objective To analyze effect of low carbohydrate diet intervention in the management of blood glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM).Methods A total of 140 patients with T2DM in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 70 cases per group, given LCD intervention and routine diet intervention. Results Before intervention, fasting and 2 h blood glucose after breakfast in the observation group were (9.19 ± 2.77) mmol/L,(12.75 ± 4.70) rmmoL/L,respectively,and control group were (9.31 ± 3.93) mmol/L,(13.39 ± 4.52) mmoL/L.After intervention, the observation group and control group of above indicators were (6.42± 1.44) mmol/L,(7.42 ± 1.79) mmol/L and(7.42 ± 1.79) mmol/L,(10.34 ± 2.87) mmol/L,respectively.There were significant differences in same group before and after intervention, and between groups after intervention (P < 0.05).The insulin reduction rate, the insulin increment rate and the hypoglycemia rate in the observation group were 17.14%,17.14% and 10%,respectively,and were 2.86%,42.86% and 37.14%,respectively,in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusion LCD intervention can effectively improve the blood glucose level, reduce the dosage of insulin, and reduce the risk of hypoglycemia in patients with T2DM.
