Abstract
Objective To explore the application efficacy of systematic respiratory nursing in patients with surgical treatment for lung cancer. Methods A total of 66 patients receiving surgical treatment for lung cancer were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 33 cases for each group.Control group was treated with routine nursing, and observation group was added with systematic respiratory nursing.Karnofsky performance status (KPS) score was observed, drainage volume,tube-indwelling duration and hospital stays were recorded in both groups, and occurrence rates of pulmonary complications and pulmonary function were compared between two groups. Results After intervention,KPS score was markedly higher in both groups than intervention before (P <0.01),and was notably higher in observation group than that of control group (P <0.01).And observation group was evidently lower in drainage volume,tube-indwelling duration and hospital stay than control group (P < 0.01).Moreover,observation group was markedly lower in the occurrence rates of pulmonary complications (P < 0.05),but was significantly better in the improvement of pulmonary function than control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Application of systematic respiratory nursing in patients receiving surgical treatment for lung cancer can effectively promote patients'healthy status, shorten tube-indwelling duration and hospital stay, reduce the recurrence of complications, and improve pulmonary function, which is beneficial to patients'early rehabilitation. Thus,it deserves widely application in clinic.
