Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of refined nursing management on controlling postoperative pain and infection in general surgery department. Methods A total of 346 patients were selected and randomly divided into observation group (173 cases) and control group (173 eases). The patients in observation group were given refined nursing management, and the controls accepted routine systematic nursing. The pain scores, recovery time of intestinal function, drainage time, and length of hospitalization, postoperative infection and satisfaction between 2 groups were compared. Results The postoperative pain scores in 2 groups was decreased, and pain scores at 24,48 and 72 hours after surgery in the observation group were lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05).The recovery time of intestinal function and length of hospitalization of observation group were lower than that of control group (P < 0.05).The total infection rate of observation group was lower than that of control group (P < 0.05),and the cases with wound infection,catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) and ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP) in the observation group were lower(P <0.05),and satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that of control group(P < 0.01).Conclusions The refined nursing management in general surgery department can effectively control postoperative pain and infection, and improve the satisfaction of patients.
