Effect of clinical nursing pathway on stress ulcer in patients with severe brain injury

Objective To observe the effect of clinical nursing pathway on stress ulcer in patients with severe traumatic brain injury.Methods A total of 80 patients with severe brain injury collected from January 2013 to October 2015 in our hospital using random number table method were randomly divided into observation group and control group.The control group received general nursing and observation group was given clinical nursing pathway.Hospitalization days,rescue time,the rescue expenses and stress ulcer incidence,satisfaction of patients and their families on discharge were compared.Results Compared with the control group,the observation group had shorter treatment time and the hospital stay,less cost of emergency treatment,lower incidence of stress ulcer and higher satisfaction in the observation group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Clinical nursing pathway can significantly reduce the incidence of stress ulcer in patients with severe craniocerebral injury,improve the satisfaction of patients and their families.
