Objective To study the effect of cognitive and behavioral intervention nursing for patients with urinary overactive bladder (OAB).
Methods A total of 66 patients with OAB in urological department were selected, and were randomly divided into observation group(n=33) and control group(n=33). Patients in the control group were given routine nursing, while the observation group was additionally given cognitive and behavioral intervention based on medical therapy. The clinical efficacy, frequency of urination, frequency of urinary emergency interval and volume of urination were compared between the two groups.
Results The total effective rate of nursing in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05). The frequency of urination and the frequency of urinary emergency interval in the observation group were lower, and the amount of urination was more than that in the control group(P < 0.05).
Conclusion Cognitive and behavioral intervention nursing has better nursing effect for patients with OAB.
