Objective To investigate the infection status of Helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection in Shenyang region, and to analyze its infection characteristics and related factors.
Methods The data of population with Hp infection detected in our physical examination center from January to December 2018 were retrospectively studied. These patients were divided into three groups according to varied ages: the youth group, the middle-aged group and the elderly group, and two groups according to the infection conditions: Hp-positive group and negative group. The characteristics of infections in varied gender and age groups were analyzed, and relationship between Hp infection and blood glucose, blood lipids were observed.
Results 14C urea exhalation test was carried out in 11 775 people, with total infection rate of 30.99%. In the positive group, there were 2 376 male cases, and 1 273 female cases, with the infection rate of 65.11%, 34.89%, respectively, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The positive and negative rates of Hp in the young group showed significant differences compared to those in the middle-aged and elderly groups (P < 0.01), but no significant differences were seen between the middle-aged group and the elderly group (P>0.05). The blood glucose, triglyceride and low-density cholesterol levels in Hp-positive group were higher than those in Hp-negative group (P < 0.05), but there was no significant between-group differences in total cholesterol and high-density cholesterol(P>0.05).
Conclusion Hp positive infection is related to age, sex, blood glucose, triglyceride and low-density cholesterol, but has no significant correlation with total cholesterol and high-density cholesterol.
