Effect of low-dose aspirin combined with air wave pressure therapy device in prevention of venous thrombosis of lower limb after cesarean section

  •   Objective  To analyze the effect of low-dose aspirin combined with air wave pressure therapy device on postoperative lower extremity venous thrombosis in cesarean section.
      Methods  A total of 122 puerperae who underwent cesarean section in our hospital were divided into experimental group (n=61) and control group (n=61) by convenient sampling. All patients were given preventive nursing for venous thrombosis of the lower extremities, the experimental group was additionally given airwave pressure therapy device and low-dose aspirin. The rate of venous thrombosis of lower extremities of the two groups, the swelling index of the lower extremities at 1 week after surgery, the resting heart index, and the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) score at different time points after operation were compared.
      Results  There was no patient with venous thrombosis of lower extremity in the experimental group, while the rate of venous thrombosis in the lower limbs of the control group was 13.1%. There was significant difference in the rate of venous thrombosis of lower limbs between two groups (P < 0.05). One week after cesarean section, the swelling index and resting heart index of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The VAS scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group on the 3rd postoperative day, at 1-and 2-week after operation(P < 0.05).
      Conclusion  Low-dose aspirincombined with air wave pressure therapy device for cesarean section can significantly reduce rate of venous thrombosis in lower extremities and significantly relieve the pain of both lower extremities.
