Multidisciplinary comprehensive treatments focused on intestinal function protection and recovery for malignant bowel obstruction

Malignant bowel obstruction is a common tumor complication secondary to digestive tract tumors and gynecological tumors. Individualized treatments were conducted to the patients with malignant bowel obstruction according to comprehensive multi-disciplinary opinions on tumor internal medicine and tumor surgery, intestinal function protection and recovery as core idea, nutritional therapy as the cornerstone, and personalized therapies such as intestinal stents, palliative surgery, low-dose chemotherapy, and symptomatic treatment.
