CT imaging analysis of 23 patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia in Yangzhou area

Abstract
Objective To explore the CT imaging features of patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia(NCP)in Yangzhou area. Methods The chest CT imaging materials of 23 patients with NCP(10 male patients and 13 female patients with age from 22 to 72 years old)were analyzed retrospectively and patients' diagnosis were accorded with Diagnosis and Treatment of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia(V6 for Trial)formulated by National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China. Results CT manifestations of 23 patients can be divided into 6 cases with early stage and 17 cases with progressive stage. According to lesions involving lung lobes, the patients can be divided into one case with one lung lobe, 3 cases with 2 lung lobes, 3 cases with 3 lung lobes, 4 cases with 4 lung lobes, and 12 cases with 5 lung lobes. According to distribution range, the patients can be divided into 17 cases with dominant subpleural area, 6 cases with both invasions of subpleural and central area. According to lesions shape, all of 23 patients had ground glass shadow, and at the same time, 16 cases had interstitial thickening and reticular shadow, 10 cases had solid change, 10 cases had vascular augmentation, 5 cases had air bronchus, 3 cases had sign of “paving stone”, 1 case had enlarged lymph node and 1 case had small amount of pleural effusion. Conclusion CT imaging features are mainly early stage and progressive stage manifestations in NCP patients in Yangzhou area, the patients have multiple ground glass shadows in the subpleural area, and most of them are complicated with interstitial and vascular thickening.
