Abstract
Objective To explore the manufacture and application effect of the improved negative pressure corrector for treatment of puerperas with crater nipple. Methods Totally 50 puerperas with crater nipple were selected as observation group, and they were treated with improved negative pressure corrector. Another 50 puerperas with crater nipple during the same period were selected as control group, and they were treated with traditional sucking device. The success rate of first breast feeding, self-efficacy score of breast-feeding and nursing satisfaction score were compared between the two groups. Results The self-efficacy score and satisfaction score in the observation group were(122.98±5.85)points and(9.96±1.16)points respectively, which were significantly higher than(103.26±7.08)points and(7.26±1.14)points in the control group(P<0.01). The success rate of the first breast-feeding in the observation group was 86.00%(43/50), which was significantly higher than 48.00%(24/50)in the control group(P<0.01). Conclusion Application of the improved negative pressure corrector can enhance self-efficacy of breast feeding, increase the success rate of first breast feeding and promote breast feeding.
