Abstract
Objective To analyze the influencing factors of prognosis in patients with sudden deafness. Methods The clinical data of 87 patients with sudden deafness who admitted in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were treated with routine medicine. They were divided into good prognosis group(n=61, mean frequency hearing loss increase≥15 dB)and poor prognosis group(n=26, mean frequency hearing loss increase<15 dB)according to the prognosis conditions. The general questionnaire was designed, and the possible influencing factors were included. The single-factor and multivariate analysis were used to find out the influencing factors of poor prognosis in patients with sudden deafness. Results The results of chi-square test of single-factor analysis and non-conditional multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that diabetes, time from onset to medical consultation, complicating with dizziness or tinnitus, degree of hearing loss, audiogram type of pure tone audiometry may be the influencing factors of poor prognosis in patients with sudden deafness(OR>1, P<0.05). Conclusion Diabetes, time from onset to medical consultation, complicating with dizziness or tinnitus, degree of hearing loss, audiogram type of pure tone audiometry may be the influencing factors of poor prognosis in patients with sudden deafness. Therefore, these factors should be attached great importance in clinic and corresponding intervention measures should be given to these patients.
