Effect observation of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction combined with rehabilitation training in treatment of patients with lumbar disc herniation

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction combined with rehabilitation training in treatment of patients with lumbar disc herniation. Methods Ninety patients with lumbar disc herniation were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 45 cases in each group. Control group was treated with losoprofen sodium dispersible tablets and routine intervention, while observation group was treated with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction and rehabilitation training. The pain degree and lumbar function before and after treatment were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, the score of Japanese Orthopedic Association Assessment was significantly higher than that before treatment, and the scores of above indexes in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05). There were no abnormal function in liver and kidney, and no bleeding was observed in both groups. The incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was 15.56%, which was significantly higher than 2.22% in the observation group(P<0.05). Conclusion Duhuo Jisheng Decoction combined with rehabilitation training can improve the lumbar function of patients with lumbar disc herniation and reduce the degree of pain in the lower back and legs.
