Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy of ergometrine maleate in adjuvant treatment of postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean section. Methods A total of 80 cesarean section patients with postpartum hemorrhage treated in the hospital were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. Control group was treated with oxytocin, and research group was given ergometrine maleate based on control group. The postpartum bleeding volume, vital signs, red blood cell(RBC), hematocrit(HCT), hemoglobin(Hb)and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups. Results The postpartum bleeding volume at 1, 2, 4 and 24 h in research group was significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05); after 2 h treatment, the heart rate of research group was lower, and the diastolic pressure and systolic pressure in research group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05). After treatment for 24 h, the levels of Hb, RBC and HCT in research group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05). There was no statistical difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between research group and control group(P>0.05). Conclusion Ergometrine maleate in adjuvant treatment of postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean section has better effects, it can reduce postpartum bleeding volume, stabilize vital signs, improve blood routine indexes and decrease the incidence of adverse reactions.
