Therapeutic effect of Bailing Capsule in treating early diabetic nephropathy and its influence on hemorheological and inflammatory factors

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Bailing Capsule on early diabetic nephropathy(DN)and its influence on hemorheology and inflammatory factors. Methods A total of 252 patients with early DN admitted to our hospital were selected as study objects, and they were divided into control group and study group by random number table method. The patients in the two groups were all treated with diet control, diuretic and edema-relieving therapy, control in blood glucose and blood pressure. At the same time, the control group was orally administrated irbesartan, and the study group was treated with Bailing Capsule. The hemorheological indexes［whole blood high-shear viscosity(HBV), whole blood high-shear viscosity(LBV), plasma viscosity(PV), fibrinogen(PF)］and inflammatory factors such as tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin-6(IL-6)and transforming growth factor-β₁(TGF-β₁)were compared before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate was 89.7% in the study group, which was higher than 79.4% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.01). After treatment, the indexes of HBV, LBV, PV and PF in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P< 0.01). After treatment, the levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and TGF-β1 in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P< 0.01). Conclusion Bailing Capsule is effective in the treatment of early DN, and can effectively regulate the indexes of hemorheology and inflammatory factors. Besides, it is safe in clinical application.
