Effect evaluation of Jiegu Qili Tablets in treatment of tibiofibular fracture patients with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation

  • Objective To investigate the effect of Jiegu Qili Tablets in treatment of tibiofibular fracture patients with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation. Methods Totally 80 patients with tibiofibular fracture were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 40 cases in each group. Patients in both groups were treated with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation, and control group was treated with Danshen Tablets after surgery, while observation group was treated with Jiegu Qili Tablets. The postoperative recovery, knee joint function, effect of callus formation and the incidence of complications were compared between two groups. Results The hospitalization time and fracture healing time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05). The scores of pain, function, joint activity, muscle strength, flexion deformity, stability and the total score of Hospital for Special Surgery(HSS)in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The effect of callus formation in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion Jiegu Qili Tablets is beneficial to the formation of callus in tibiofibular fracture patients with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation, which can effectively improve the knee joint function and promote the postoperative recovery of patients.
