Effect of hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion in the treatment of patients with chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of hemodialysis(HD)combined with hemoperfusion(HP)in the treatment of patients with chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder(CKD-MBD). Methods Totally 80 CKD-MBD patients with maintenance hemodialysis were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with HD, and the observation group was treated with HD combined with HP. The levels of serum calcium, serum phosphorus, parathyroid hormone(iPTH)and the status of renal function were compared before and after treatment between two groups. Results After treatment, the levels of serum calcium increased significantly in both groups, the levels of serum phosphorus and iPTH decreased significantly in both groups(P<0.05), and these indexes in the observation group were significantly better than the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum creatinine(Scr)and blood urea nitrogen(BUN)significantly decreased in both groups, and these indexes in the observation group were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion HD combined with HP can effectively regulate the metabolism of blood calcium as well as phosphorus and the level of iPTH in CKD-MBD patients, which can improve the renal function, and the safety is relatively high.
