Exploration on self-management mode in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

  • Objective To explore the effect of self-management mode in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods A total of 110 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were selected and randomly divided into routine group and intervention group, with 55 cases in each group. Routine group was given routine care, while intervention group was given self-management mode. Indicators of lung function, self-management scores, nursing compliance and nursing satisfaction after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)and forced vital capacity(FVC), self-management scores, nursing compliance and nursing satisfaction in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the routine group(P<0.05). Conclusion The self-management mode can significantly improve lung function, and improve life quality as well as nursing satisfaction.
