Effect of Fufang Jingjie Fumigation Lotion on postoperativewound healing and expression of serum growth factors in patients after perianal abscess surgery

  Objective  To observe the effect of Fufang Jingjie Fumigation Lotion on wound healing and serum growth factors after perianal abscess operation.

  Methods  A total of 86 patients with perianal abscess surgery in our hospital were selected as study objects, and were divided into control group (42 cases, routine treatment) and an observation group (44 cases, routine treatment combined with Fufang Jingjie Fumigation Lotion) according to the choice of patients and their families, both groups were treated for 3 weeks. The clinical indicators were compared, the wound edema and pain conditions before treatment, at 3, 9, 15 d after treatment between the two groups were compared. The levels of acidic fibroblast growth factor (aFGF), recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) before treatment and after 3 weeks of treatment were compared between the two groups.

  Results  The time of complete carrion shedding and wound healing in the observation group were shorter than those of in the control group, and the reduction rate of wound surface was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05); at 3, 9, 15 d after treatment, the wound edema score and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) score of both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05); after 3 weeks of treatment, the serum aFGF and bFGF levels of both groups were higher than those before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05).

  Conclusion  Fufang Jingjie Fumigation Lotion for patients with perianal abscess surgery is more conducive to promoting the postoperative wound recovery and relieving the pain degree.
