Abstract
Objective To observe the influence of drum circle therapy on the rehabilitation efficacy of hospitalized patients with schizophrenia. Methods Totally 40 male hospitalized patients with schizophrenia were selected and randomly divided into control group(n=20)and experimental group(n=20). The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation therapy, and the experimental group was treated with drum circle therapy on the basis of routine rehabilitation treatment. The Brief Psychiatric Symptom Scale(BPRS)and UCLA Loneliness Scale(UCLALS)were used to evaluate the status of mental symptoms and loneliness in patients. Results There were significant differences in scores of BPRS and UCLALS after treatment between the two groups(P<0.05). Conclusion Drum circle therapy has a better effect on the rehabilitation of hospitalized patients with schizophrenia.
