Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of ibuprofen sustained-release capsule combined with catgut embedding in acupoints on the short-term efficacy and dysmenorrhea score in primary dysmenorrhea patients. Methods A total of 60 patients with primary dysmenorrhea treated in our hospital were divided into two groups according to computer random grouping method. The control group(n=30)was treated with ibuprofen sustained-release capsule, while the observation group(n=30)was treated with ibuprofen sustained-release capsule and catgut embedding in acupoints, and the score of dysmenorrhea, pain and short-term efficacy before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in the dysmenorrhea score and pain score between the observation group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05). The dysmenorrhea score and pain score of the observation group after treatment were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05). The total effectiverate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(90.00% versus 66.67%, P<0.05). Conclusion The buprofen sustain-release capsule combined with catgut embedding in acupoints can significantly improve patients' pain, reduce the dysmenorrhea score, and improve the short-term efficacy.
