Objective To explore the correlations between expressions of fascin1 (FSCN1), keratin 14 (KRT14) proteins detected by digestive endoscopy and stage T1 gastric cancer complicated with lymph node metastasis.
Methods A total of 120 patients diagnosed as stage T1 gastric cancer were enrolled, 50 patients with lymph node metastasis were selected as observation group, and the other 70 patients without lymph node metastasis were selected as control group. The positive expression rates of tissue FSCN1 and KRT14 were detected by immunohistochemical staining, and relative expressions of FSCN1 and KRT14 were detected by Western-blot.
Results The positive expression rates and relative expressions of FSCN1 and KRT14 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The expressions of FSCN1 and KRT14 were significantly correlated with differentiation grade of the tumor (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Expressions of FSCN1 and KRT14 are correlated with occurrence of early gastric cancer and lymph node metastasis.
