Objective To explore the application effect of Internet Wechat platform in continuous family care of patients after percutaneous transhepatic cholangiodrainage (PTCD).
Methods Forty-six patients treated with PTCD were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 23 cases in each group. The control group used traditional nursing method, and the observation group received health education and family continuity care for discharged patients based on the Internet Wechat platform. The patients'self-care ability was evaluated by the Self-care ability Scale (ESCA).
Results The scores of self-concept, sense of self-care, self-care skills and health knowledge in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.01). The satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Wechat platform has a good application effect in the continuous family care of patients after PTCD, which can improve the self-care ability and satisfaction of patients.
