Objective To investigate the role of pharmacists in immunosuppressive therapy of recipients after liver transplantation.
Methods Pharmacists participated in the drug treatment process of one patient after liver transplantation, and combined with tacrolimus plasma concentration test, gene test results and relevant literature, pharmaceutical care was conducted on tacrolimus and its drug interactions, and the dose of tacrolimus was adjusted in order to ensure the safety of individual patient medication.
Results Pharmacists could make recommendations for rational drug use through pharmaceutical care of patients.
Conclusion Cooperation between pharmacists and doctors can improve the safety and effectiveness of medication for patients, and promote rational drug use.
