A study on mind mapping for diagnosis of a case of Fanconi syndrome with plantar pain as initial symptom

Fanconi syndrome caused by oral taken of adefovir dipivoxil has been reported in clinic. This paper reported a case with plantar pain as the initial symptom, and was finally diagnosed as drug induced Fanconi syndrome through 2 years from onset to diagnosis by divergent thinking based on mind mapping method. This paper analyzed the factors that patient had not been diagnosed for a long time, so as to provide guidance for clinicians to reduce the misdiagnosis rate.
