Research progress on roles of blood biomarkers in etiological classification of ischemic stroke

At present, blood biomarkers such as C-reactive protein and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, have been proved to have predictive roles in early etiological classification of ischemic stroke. This article reviewed the related blood biomarkers in different subtypes of ischemic stroke in order to provide diagnostic basis for the classification of different subtypes of ischemic stroke.
