Abstract
As an important anatomical structure of craniomaxillofacial region, the upper airway presents an irregular lumen structure, which is composed of different soft and hard tissues. The morphology of upper airway is closely related to obstructive sleep apnea. This paper reviewed the relationship between morphology of upper airway and obstructive sleep apnea from the following four aspects of anatomical division of upper airway, evaluation tools and methods, measurement and evaluation contents, and influencing factors of upper airway morphology.
