Research progress in diagnosis and treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis

Lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) is a common clinical spinal disease, surgery is the first choice for patients with LSS, and conservative treatment with traditional Chinese medicine also has a significant effect for patients with mild and moderate stenosis. However, there are always differences in diagnosis and treatment of LSS in clinic. By sorting out the latest literatures on lumbar spinal stenosis, this paper provided new supplements for clinical practice from the aspects of symptoms and signs, imaging diagnosis and genome-wide association analysis, gave new evidence for treatment, new ideas for the study and development of conservative treatment.
